THAT’S AMORE

I have always thought that the way people eat, and what they eat, really says a lot about them.
Not to underestimate the fine delicacy of French foods, but frog’s legs just aren’t my thing. Blame it on my delicious Greek heritage, but my idea of something that should be on a plate is not a something with very little meat that used to hop. Or quack.
L’Espresso Bar for brunch – review
This place deserves a rating of: **** 4/4
The L’Espresso Bar is located at 321 Bloor Street West, Toronto ON (South-East corner of Bloor and St. George, across the street from the Bata Shoe Museum). Their website (http://www.barmercurio.com/aboutLespresso.html) tells the tale that "Brunch is Amazing"; and they’re right!

A view on the 51st floor
By Farris Green
Imagine yourself 51 stories above the busy city streets staring into a sea of spectacular lights and the one and only CN Tower. No this isn’t you’re typical tourist hot spot in the Tower’s 360 Restaurant or in a high rise condo downtown, it’s another fantastic spot to take someone for a romantic time out with a view.
Panorama is at 55 Bloor Street West in Yorkville. There is nothing better than a unique stop off either at the beginning or near the end of your night with your beau. The lounge has trendy music and a great atmosphere.
Not only could you enjoy one of their tasty martinis or specialty cocktails but you can also make your way up in their elevator to taste one of their delectable desserts made for two. The chocolate fondue for a duo is my favourite including fresh fruit and rich delicious chocolate to smother your fruit in.
GO TO MARO TOMORROW NIGHT!
By Effie Star

Ahh, Canada day. Not just a day but an entire extended weekend of outdoor events like the ribfest, firecrackers, camping, or home barbecues just passed. But just because the grill has cooled off and the fireworks are done and did, doesn’t mean your love life has to fizzle away with it. And that’s exactly what some relationships are like: fireworks. They start off raw, lonely, and expectant; but soon the flame is set, the heat is too much to bear, the anticipation is on overdrive and… POP! The sky is lit, colours fill your world, sounds boom in your ears, all of your thrill is wrapped up in that one single entity of magical wonder! But just as suddenly as it started, it ended. The colours fade, your exciting visions are replaced with gray smoke, the air is silent and the flame has burnt out. You’re left there with just the shell of what was once so unique and interesting, and you can’t quite decide what to do next.

Bar Mercurio, within steps of the St. George TTC, welcomes the casually dressed to an upscale environment. Apart from its pricey wine list, this Italian bistro offers a great first date environment. Classical Italian background music (definitely not Muzak) provides a counterpoint to a noisy room full of diners having a good time. Service is relaxed but responsive and alert. No wondering whether the waitress will notice that you would like to see the dessert menu. Continue reading
