The Editor-In-Chief

Mary Ann Wilson
Mary Ann was thrilled to join the Love in Toronto team in October, 2007. Half of a long-term monogamous relationship, she is enthusiastic about her role in the writers’ sharing of their excellent date ideas and venue reviews. She is staunchly straight-laced in her approach to spelling and grammar in general, and to apostrophes in particular; fortunately, this uptightness is a localized affliction that does not extend to the rest of her character. Mary Ann’s interests include alleviating stress through yoga, alimentary creations, and alliteration. She holds an M.A. in English and is currently pursuing a full-time career in editing.

Kristen Goetz
Kristen Goetz is a freelance writer/editor hailing from St. Catharines, ON. She is a self-proclaimed music freak with a severe addiction to food and beer. Her narcissism is practiced through blogging (http://kristengoetz.blogspot.com), and she is working on a novel when spare time allows it. Other than that, she enjoys weekends in Toronto with her boyfriend, singing loudly in the car, and a cleverly-written palindrome.

Kristen is excited to be writing an advice column for Love In Toronto because she has been doling out free advice for years, and feels that it's about time it got published. To learn more about Kristen's writing projects, visit: http://www3.sympatico.ca/ngoetz/kgoetz/index.html

Amber Whitman (Relationship advice)
Along with my long time boyfriend I also have a son who is a teenager.   I enjoy the outdoors, writing, cooking, poetry, movies, decorating and reading.  I grew up in British Columbia; Canada in a small town called Qualicum Beach and left at 16 years old.  Writing has been part of my life since I was a youth and attended a private school convention winning medals for my poetry.  Many years ago I started writing again and have since written poetry, articles and short stories for various online sites such as Webster’s Dictionary and All poetry Magazine.  I have won

various Poetry and Editors Choice Awards.  Recently I have published a collection of my poetry.  My wish is to continue enlightening people with my works.  If you are interested in viewing my work and accomplishments you can visit my personal/professional website at http://homebody2001-ivil.tripod.com or you may visit my promotional book site at http://www.geocities.com/whitmansbooks.

Anthony Peter (Creative Love and Special Events)
Anthony Petur is fuelled by writing, art, music and all things that lead to the senses. He is a published writer with a back round in Broadcasting, Fine Arts & Psychology. With an intense love of flavor he’s also tangoed with a few other delectable spices including modeling, film & TV and also his own creative consulting and from time to time still enjoys a few cameo appearances. Some might say he should attend Snacker’s Anonymous but quite simply, he just believes you can never have enough life

experience and that there’s always more to learn & see. We agree. In this city of many flavors he’s often lured by layers & intrigued when complex, which as we know can usually be traced back to love. So with ruler in hand (and also some freestyling) that’s just what he’ll be doing along with all the many creative ways to garner some lov’in. Your best chance of catching a glimpse at this aristocrat is very late at night (and very rarely ever early in the morning) on the prowl for a snack of passion or a simple dose of moonlight.

Paparazzi TIP: Truth be told he also has a strong weakness for empty page space, blank canvas’s, sweet treats & coffee over ice, should you wish to attempt a photo.

Laurie Sadowski
Laurie likes food. A lot. Cooking food, eating food, writing about food, thinking about food, looking at food, buying food, selling food. After receiving her Bachelor of Music (obviously the most food-related degree) from Laurier, she realized her few years as Laurier’s ‘Food Critic’ started a love in her that couldn’t be beat. “Mission in the Kitchen”, her newly written and published cookbook, focuses on healthy, delicious whole-foods based on a gluten and casein-free diet – her specialty.

When she isn’t encompassed with thoughts of noshing down copious amounts of food or creating a new, fantastic recipe in her kitchen, Laurie enjoys writing, reading, spending time with friends and family, painting, playing her instruments, and enjoying the sunshine. Oh, and grocery shopping and watching the Food Network.

Photo Journalists

A Photo Journalists job is to put pictures in lieu of words.  The most successful will be able to entertain and inspire the best date ideas with a unique perspective on our city.

Pat Téa
I've got a sick passion (borderline obsession) to document life through my own naïve eyes. When I'm out there shooting on a good day, I get that same feeling of curiosity and wonder that we all felt as a child discovering cartoons for the first time or finding out that your whole neighborhood gives out FREE candy on Halloween for the very first time. My only goal when capturing that moment in time is to do what I've always been taught to do as a child: TELL THE TRUTH. Born, raised and groomed in Montreal, but currently call Toronto "home".  See my website at:  http://www.PixelPills.com
